The Noah Interview

On the stern end of Deck Two, you will find our first spacious, open theater where you can rest your feet for a while and have many of your questions answered. The Noah Interview is a powerful presentation that answers the skeptical questions of our age. Imagine a tabloid-style “attack interview” of Noah in a world where “the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” (Genesis 6:5).

The interviewer mockingly asks questions about God’s command to build the Ark, the type of animals to bring on board, details about the construction of the ship, and more. Noah responds with the authority of God’s Word and his command. At the heart of the interview is the apologetics response: “always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15).

As in the Days of Noah

The sequel to The Noah Interview can be viewed directly above on Deck Three. The second video, As in the Days of Noah, takes place in our modern era and on the site of the Ark Encounter. The same interviewer travels to Kentucky, with her same mocking tone and attitude, to interview a person named Noah, described as the director of the Ark Encounter. In this interview, the reporter asks him, “Why did you really build the Ark Encounter?”

The interviewer is led to a theater where she hears a powerful presentation of the gospel by well-known evangelist Ray Comfort of Living Waters. Comfort declares that ultimately, the Ark Encounter was built to serve as a reminder of both God’s judgment and mercy. The goal is that all people would turn to Jesus Christ in faith and repentance for their salvation.

The interviewer is left standing at the door. How will she respond?
