And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1: 28 ESV)
What does it mean to exercise righteous dominion over God’s creation? In this two-day, hands-on program you will get an introduction to environmental science and the dominion mandate from a biblical worldview. Learn about food sustainability by building your own compost bin, conduct field research, and participate in an interactive tour of our on-site aquaponics system and horticulture center.
Open to students ages 18 and up.
Environmental Science Exploration is scheduled for Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Due to parking and bus transportation to the Ark Encounter, recommended arrival time is at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each session.
