New Ark Encounter Enhancements

by Ark Encounter on February 12, 2016

I’m thrilled to share that we have made great progress toward reaching the Ark Encounter donation goal. The Lord provided a great blessing through the end-of-year matching gift opportunity for this evangelistic outreach in Northern Kentucky.

At the same time, I’m excited to announce some special enhancements (that were not in the original phase-one plan) we are adding to the first phase of the Ark Encounter that, I think you’ll agree, are quite needed.

The main focus is the addition of a separate 800-seat multi-purpose theater/hall adjacent to the Ark (similar to Legacy Hall at the Creation Museum). Originally we planned for the “Christ the Door” gospel presentation to be inside the Ark, but as plans and designs progressed, we recognized that the structure of the Ark wouldn’t allow for a larger theater-type setting that would provide the opportunity for all guests to see one of the most important presentations at the Ark Encounter. This theater/hall will also provide a venue for special live-animal shows and for me and our other speakers to provide live presentations to guests, like we do in the Creation Museum’s Legacy Hall.

This enhancement and necessary public safety/security measures will require an additional $4 million in funding. I’m pleased to share that $1 million of that funding has already been provided by generous supporters!

Please prayerfully consider a gift to the Ark Encounter to help us fund these new enhancements. Your sponsorship of a peg, plank, or beam will help reach that goal too.
