The Center Tower

Finally, the weather warmed up enough for an extended period of time, which enabled us to pour the concrete wall of the center tower. On the back side of the Ark, there will be three towers that will help support the humongous structure, with the center tower being the largest of the three since it will house the major stairwell and restrooms, along with the janitor’s closet and some storage rooms. The other towers will have elevators and a smaller set of restrooms, along with fire escape stairs. As many of you might know, the Ark will be elevated 12 feet into the air so that our guests will actually walk under the Ark and view exhibit areas before heading up the ramp into the first floor of the Ark.
