Explore Botany

And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plant yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” (Genesis 1:11, ESV)

God created a wide variety of plants to produce after their kind. Explore Botany at the Ark will investigate the beauty and design of the plant kingdom through a behind-the-scenes experience with the horticulture staff at the Ark Encounter green houses.

• Parent will be responsible for transportation to and from the location.
• Open to students ages 11 to 18.
• Explore Botany is a 3-hour program scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Due to parking and bus transportation to the Ark Encounter, recommended arrival time is 12:30 p.m.
• Please keep in mind that some of our activities are contingent upon weather. This event is rain or shine.
• Availability is limited, so sign up today!

The Explore Days program is on a four-year rotating schedule. Each Explore Day includes a minimum of three hands-on, interactive sessions. The yearly topics are provided in the schedule below.

• Includes scheduled programs and parking fee.
• Price includes one student (age 11 to 18). Additional students are $24.99 each.
