Having a Blast

Earth continues to be moved at the Ark Encounter site, but sometimes this requires the excavation team to shake things up a bit. Last Friday, a couple members of the Ark team visited the site to experience one of the explosions used to break up the soil and rock.

Below is a brief video of that blast. The shaking of the camera is not due to an unsteady hand, but because the ground shook several hundred feet away from the explosion.

Progress continues to be made at the Ark Encounter property. Even larger vehicles are expected to arrive soon to begin excavation on the future parking lot.
