Spring Is Beautiful at the Ark Encounter

by Ark Encounter on March 24, 2016

Spring is here at the Ark Encounter! It’s incredible to see the green grass growing and the blue skies promising good weather and exciting times ahead.

Ark with Green Slope

As we enter spring, we enter our last full season before the Ark Encounter finally opens to the public. Thankfully, the warm weather means construction will be able to plow ahead toward the deadline.

The construction workers are whipping the stern into shape and now you no longer have to imagine what the Ark looks like; you can see the curvature and begin to understand how much work Noah would have had to do to make God’s command to build an Ark a reality.

We have to do a few more things than Noah possibly to build the life-size Ark according to building codes and make it available for millions of guests.

Ark Bridge Construction

For example, we have to accommodate 4,000 cars per day with a massive parking lot and tram system, which means we have to build a road and a bridge through the beautiful Kentucky landscape.

As you start planning your family vacations for this summer, keep the Ark Encounter at the top of your list. We would love for you to be a part of history and join us for the Ark’s first 40 days and 40 nights.
