We are just weeks away from our annual women’s conference at the Answers Center! Taking place on March 27–28, 2020, this year’s theme is “Truth: Uncovering the Lies We Believe.” We are going to dive into the lies that we have let creep into the church and learn how to respond with truth.
We have an incredible lineup of speakers for this year’s conference. These renowned teachers will help women from all stages of life understand God’s truth and how it applies to them.
Dr. Georgia Purdom is a familiar face at the Answers Center. She holds a PhD in molecular genetics from The Ohio State University, and formerly served as an assistant and associate professor of biology at Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. Dr. Purdom is the Vice President of Educational Content at Answers in Genesis and actively speaks and writes for the ministry.
Dr. Purdom also has a passion for helping women understand the importance of Genesis. As a wife and mother, she has a vested interest in understanding what Genesis has to say to women.
Sarah is the founder of Bright Lights, a discipleship ministry designed to equip young ladies to use the years of their youth fully for Christ. This ministry started as a girls’ Bible study in her living room in 1996 when Sarah was 17. As the ministry grew, Sarah began to train and equip other ladies to disciple younger girls. As of 2019, about 750 Bright Lights groups have started in 47 states and 18 countries. Bright Lights hosts conferences for mothers and daughters. It also trains leaders of Bright Lights groups and provides discipleship material for young ladies.
Sarah’s latest book, Speak Truth in Your Heart, challenges girls to identify the lies that are the root issues behind the struggles they face and to replace them with the truth of God’s Word.
Perhaps the most familiar name on the speaker lineup, Ken Ham is the CEO and founder of Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum, and, of course, the Ark Encounter.
As a biblical apologist, Ken gives numerous faith-building talks. He deals with topics such as the reliability of the Bible, how compromise over biblical authority has undermined society and even the church, how to witness more effectively, and more. Ken’s emphasis is on the relevance and authority of the book of Genesis to the life of the average Christian, and how compromise on Genesis has opened a dangerous door regarding how the culture and church view biblical authority.
These are just a few of the special speakers who will be joining us at the Answers Center. Other speakers include Justin Peters, Erin Benzinger, Amy Spreeman, Phil Johnson and Camille Cates. They, along with worship led by Charles Billingsley, will be bringing powerful messages and will encourage the hearts of many.
