At the Ark Encounter, we do our utmost to ensure every guest has a fantastic experience while they explore all three exhibit decks, take in the massive Ark structure, dine at our venues, meet the animals at Ararat Ridge Zoo, and take in a presentation or video in Answers Center. But once a year we host a program specifically designed for the Deaf community—Deaf Days at the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum.
This fall, Deaf Days are returning to the Ark Encounter and our sister attraction, the Creation Museum, October 10–11, 2020! On Saturday, October 10, Deaf volunteers and interpreters will be available throughout our life-size Noah’s Ark and grounds to assist you. Relax in the state-of-the-art Answers Center for a presentation on the truth of God’s Word presented in ASL and “God’s Word and Gay Marriage,” presented by Avery Foley and interpreted into ASL.
Be sure to head to the Ararat Ridge Zoo, located behind the Ark, to meet our animals, including walking with the kangaroos or hop on a camel and take a ride (additional ticket purchase required for camel rides).
On October 11, worship with other Deaf believers during a special Sunday morning service in Legacy Hall at 11 a.m. before you spend the rest of the day touring the Creation Museum, taking in the beautiful grounds, and saying hello to the animals in the Eden Zoo. Deaf volunteers and interpreters will be scattered throughout the museum and grounds to assist you all day.
And don’t forget to bring the kids to enjoy our playgrounds at both attractions. These state-of-the-art playgrounds have been designed for children of all abilities.
