Propping the Queue Line

by Ark Encounter on May 22, 2015

The planning, designing, and construction processes for the Ark Encounter have been in full swing for a while now. With roughly a year to go before a summer 2016 opening, there is still so much that needs to be done in each of these areas.

Recently, several AiG team members met to discuss the queue line and its various props that guests will see as they wait to board the Ark. The queue line will give visitors a unique opportunity to walk beneath a large section of the Ark, which will sit on the top of massive 12-foot tall concrete pillars. The props will likely be related to the types of construction materials and cargo used to construct and fill the Ark.

In the picture below, one of AiG’s exhibit designers, Allen Greene, uses the model he built to explain one of the props to Patrick Marsh, vice president of attractions. Also attending the meeting were representatives from our design, content, A/V, and IT departments to offer their expertise in their respective fields.

Please continue to pray for everyone involved in the planning, design, and construction phases of the evangelistic Ark Encounter project.
