Shuttle Bus Rides at the Ark Encounter

The Ark Encounter shuttle buses have not slowed down since finishing a cross-country voyage to the site. Since our July 7 opening, each bus has stayed busy taking thousands of visitors between the parking lot and the Ark.

The shuttle buses are one of the first things you will encounter during your visit. The buses pick you up at our ticket booths, which are located in our 4,000-space parking lot, and take you to the drop-off circle in front of the guest services building and the lake upon arrival at the Ark site.

You may be wondering why we need the shuttle buses. The parking lot sits one mile from the Ark Encounter site. So we built a road specifically for our shuttle buses since personal cars are not allowed to access this route.

We can’t wait to watch you get your first up-close look at the Ark as you round the final curve along the shuttle route. Even though you are a few hundred yards from the Ark at this point, the structure still appears extraordinarily massive.
