Celebrate Christmas at the Ararat Ridge Zoo

ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter is in full swing! When you join us for this special event, which is free for just the price of parking, you’ll experience our life-size Noah’s Ark lit up in rainbow colors, spectacular light displays, the opportunity to skate on the Glice® rink, and more!

When you join us for ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter, make sure you also head to the Ararat Ridge Zoo, which is located behind the Ark. You won’t want to miss seeing this area decked out in Christmas lights and meeting our animals! Check out what you can do in the zoo during this special event.

Petting Zoo Area

Kids of all ages love the petting zoo area! This year, we have an indoor area where you can meet our goats. Our outdoor petting zoo is open when the weather allows. Check out the pictures from last year's ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter event.

Camel and Donkey Rides

Imagine what it was like at the very first Christmas when you take a donkey or camel ride in the Ararat Ridge Zoo!
