by Ark Encounter on November 27, 2019

Are you looking for a special way for your family to kick off the Christmas season while you are together for Thanksgiving? If so, we have just the event for you! ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter begins this Friday and runs through December 30, 2019 (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). Bring the family out for an unforgettable evening of festive lights, skating, fair trade shopping, and so much more.

Get Your Camera Ready

The view during ChristmasTime is remarkably photogenic as you take in our life-size Noah's Ark, the topiaries, Ararat Ridge Zoo, and the Rainbow Garden illuminated in an all-new, stunning sea of rainbow-colored lights.

Warm Up with A Reason to Celebrate

We will be showing a spectacular Christmas video, “Encounter the Wonder,” sharing the hope of Christmas on the massive LED screen in the Answers Center. This powerful animated show—originally produced for showing on the 510-foot-long life-size Noah’s Ark—is utterly unique. It’s stunning!

After the video, "A Reason to Celebrate" continues as you sing along to four of the most popular Christmas carols with Grammy-nominated Steve Hess & Southern Salvation.

Enjoy a Special Performance

Make plans to join us on Saturday, December 7, for “Promise: A Christmas Drama,” presented by God’s Bible School & College and Aldersgate Christian Academy. Let your heart be lifted, with festive music and drama, as we adore the Savior who always keeps His promises.

Walk Up the Ark Ramp

We recently introduced yet another unique experience for our Ark Encounter guests. We’ve opened up the large ramp outside the Ark for guests to walk up and take photos, including getting their picture taken in front of the massive door into the Ark. The Ark ramp is open for an hour late afternoon (weather permitting), so we encourage you to check the daily schedule when you arrive and enjoy this unique experience.
