What is Fair Trade?

Fair trade is a buying relationship that creates opportunities for economically disadvantaged artisans by providing a market for their handcrafted goods. Purchases provide our artisans with a reliable income and the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty!

We have over 4,000 square feet of dedicated fair trade shopping in the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum gift shops, and we also offer a limited selection of products in our online fair trade shop.

Celebrate with Us at ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter

Bring your whole family for this special event that runs Tuesday through Saturday evenings until December 30, 2023. ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter features a sea of lights, the Ark illuminated in rainbow lights, live family-friendly programming, carousel rides, and much more. This event is sure to become your next family tradition, as it has for many families in the tri-state area and far beyond!

When you join us for ChristmasTime, be sure to stop by the Answers Center for A Family Christmas Program. The program begins with our animated show, Encounter the Wonder. This will be followed by live music performed by TrueSong, our resident vocal group, and a video presentation by the students of Answers Academy.

This exciting Christmas program includes popular Christmas songs along with great storytelling and a compelling message, and is an experience that the whole family is sure to enjoy!

Head to ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum Too!

Make sure to visit ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum this year as well. Enjoy a breathtaking garden of lights with new designs added, lit-up dinosaurs throughout the grounds, indoor dramas, family-friendly programming, and more. Upgrade your experience by enjoying The Christmas Star in our Stargazer Planetarium or zipping over the Christmas lights (additional ticket purchases required).
