Due to public health efforts to contain COVID-19, the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum are temporarily closed until April 20 or later.
We are just a few short weeks away from our annual Easter conference! Taking place April 9–12, 2020, this year’s event will focus on the physical and spiritual climate change happening in our culture today.
We have an incredible lineup of speakers in several areas of expertise joining us for this one-of-a-kind conference. Each expert will point attendees back to the gospel and how to live it out daily.
A speaker, writer, and researcher for Answers in Genesis, Bodie Hodge has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
During his years at SIUC, Bodie continued his personal study of biblical apologetics and began teaching this topic to a junior high Sunday school class. After pursuing a career in mechanical engineering, he joined the Answers in Genesis staff to defend the truth of Scripture. He has been featured in several books and DVDs and is a regular speaker at the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum.
During the conference, he will address the question of whether Jesus should be taken seriously at Easter.
Calvin Smith is currently the executive director and speaker for Answers in Genesis–Canada.
Calvin was formerly on the pastoral staff of a church in Guelph, Ontario, overseeing the youth and small group ministries. Through working with young people, both inside the church and with a small group at the University of Guelph, Calvin personally witnessed the devastation brought to our youth by the teaching of evolutionary rationalism. But he also saw the life-transforming effect of biblical answers that encourage people to know that God’s Word can be trusted from the very first verse.
This April, Calvin will address the cultural climate change in the West and how Christians should respond to a culture drifting further from God’s Word.

He serves as Answers in Genesis’ Director of Research and is the Editor-in-Chief of the online Answers Research Journal.
Andrew’s talents have enabled him to be involved in extensive creationist research in Australia, the USA, Britain, New Zealand and elsewhere, majoring on the radioactive methods for dating rocks and evidence for the Flood of Noah. He is active in research and studies landscape features like the Grand Canyon from a biblical perspective.
With this background, he will dive into the research and explain how one catastrophic climate change event affected the world–the Flood.
Perhaps the most familiar name on the speaker lineup, Ken Ham is the CEO and founder of Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum, and, of course, the Ark Encounter.
As a biblical apologist, Ken gives numerous faith-building talks around the world. He deals with topics such as the reliability of the Bible, how compromise over biblical authority has undermined society and even the church, how to witness more effectively, and more.
Ken’s emphasis is on the relevance and authority of the book of Genesis to the life of the average Christian, and how compromise on Genesis has opened a dangerous door regarding how the culture and church view biblical authority.
These are just a few of the speakers joining us for this special event. Other speakers include Ray Comfort, Emeal Zwayne, Cal Beisner, Dr. Georgia Purdom, and more, with worship led by Michael O’Brien and Steve Hess & Southern Salvation.
